November鈥檚 competition theme was “Geometry”. We had an amazing array of entries, many drawing inspiration from nature, architecture and science. The winning entry, by Ehsan Sanaei Ardakani, combined the geometric beauty of the city bazaar in Ardakan, Iran, with the colour, contrast and shapes cast against a stark blue background.
This month鈥檚 winner is this breathtaking image of domes in Ardakan, Iran. Ehsan Sanaei Ardakani managed to capture both the geometric beauty of the domes, which form part of the roof of the city鈥檚 bazaar, and the beautiful colour contrast that they make against the clear, blue sky. The geometry of the roof helps reduces the effect of the heat from the desert’s sun.

Cube Houses
This image takes a skyward-looking view of the www.galinsky.com/buildings/cubichouses/ 鈥>Cube Houses in Rotterdam. The Cube Houses were designed by Piet Blom as an offset cube design on a central column with three sides of the cube facing the ground & three sides facing the sky.

Cafe Society
Photographer Jurgen Dabeedin took this picture looking down from the top of the www.spinnakertower.co.uk/About_The_Tower/About_The_Tower.php 鈥>Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth. From the ground the tower looks like sails billowing in the wind and is used to represent Portsmouth’s maritime history.
